Hi, all-- wondering if there is anything like the OF sales forums out there for Seikos, where people try to be transparent about what they are offering. I suppose any dealers who take that approach would be fine, too. New to the Seiko world and interested in hunting a few models. Thx!
Some thoughts here: https://wristsushi.proboards.com/thread/22909/sourcing-vintage-seikos-secret-spots
Some info here as well: https://omegaforums.net/threads/where-do-you-buy-your-vintage-seikos.128188/#post-1734003 Both the thread I linked to and the link that Dan provided above mention Hub City. I’ve purchased there before and endorse them fully. Good luck!
Sometimes nice pieces can pop-up here: https://www.thewatchsite.com/forums/seiko-citizen-trading-post.8/
I ordered a new Seiko for my son from Belmont Watches in San Diego. My son picked out the watch he wanted on the Seiko website. I sent a screenshot over and Adam ordered it for me, sized it and sent direct to my son. I also ordered this one from him. Very favorable pricing. And, I just ordered the Longines Zulu GMT from him.
I've previously purchased several 1970s/1980s Seikos from Paleh in Singapore and have had a good experience with them. www.thepaleh.com Hope you find what you're looking for!
fully agree with @kaapstadflaneur - i've met in person with Kai (i live in Singapore too) from www.thepaleh.com and bought a few seikos over the last few years and also an Omega Deville. Fair prices in general. My other go to in the past was kingseiko96 on instagram. He is also a very knowledgeable vintage seiko dealer and I've bought from him a few times before. He honestly tells you if a watch has been re-dialed or serviced etc. Have discussed a few of my potential buys before and he has helped steer me clear of shark-infested waters. All the best!
