Here is an opinion. No affiliation or agreement (I remain neutral on the subject), just popped into my feed and though this a good place for it.

Or perhaps it’s just deeply baked irony…

I was wondering about this too, sometimes I see a dial that has a few flaws that make it hard to look at, but when it's all over the dial, it makes up a good patina / tropical dial, I was wondering what kind of particles we need to bombard a dial with to hasten the process 😁

Yep.
Here is my baked Flightmaster dial with perfect tropical sub dials. The baking process was so precise that I can aim the heat (frickin lazer beams) only at the sub dials. 😁

Opinions?
Too late for me, I’ll look more closely in the morning.

Had a good look now.
I like it, not 100% sure that the lume is original and the minute hand looks a tad short. Might be the angle of photos.
I’d love to see it in my hands.
Don’t think it’ll be around for long.

Aaah, unlike the TW one and your ‘best in the world 2998’ both of which took an hour according to WatchJesus, that one took only 30min (but then the charcoal burn on the GMT hand might suggest otherwise) 😁

The world is so full of bull shit these days the line between truth and lie has been totally eroded and that includes almost everything including watches.
I hear regurgitated BS I know isn’t true but every once in a while I learn something too, I am always happy to learn, it is fun.
I always like to see concrete evidence of the undisputed kind, not here-say or rumours.

It sometimes feels like the fun is being sucked out of watch collecting by greed, lies, BS and shit stirring , so it is best to just satisfy yourself before listen to anyone else by research and a sprinkle of known fact . 👍
I also say “never say never” too because there is so much to learn yet.
One day I hope to see a TV program called celebrity Speedmaster dial bake off, and then I will be a believer 😁

This one I missed yesterday was cooked alive by Eugene until the crystal started to melt, he is a monster 😉

Wow!
That tropical dial looks perfect! And the way they have disguised the watch to look like a complete barn find when really it was baked yesterday is amazing!

Seriously, that watch looks fantastic , hope someone here got it.

Sucked out of life as well.

If there’s one thing to be beholden to, it’s the truth, even if it doesn’t go your way when it’s uncovered. Not to get too off topic here, but when our political leaders, leaders of industry and sport feel it’s okay to massage facts just to suit their own needs or the needs of their dedicated followers, we are all major-league fυcked.

Truth is baked (pun intended) into lies and vice versa these days, with nobody held accountable and the buck is just going around in circles.

Too many people prefer validation rather than truth. It has probably been that way a long long time but technology has made it much much easier. Used to be you'd have to put in some effort to find someone with matching ignorance now all you have to do is look at your phone.

Bingo. Was the first thing I thought to have said to WatchJesus claims, but quite frankly didn’t feel up to arguing online.

Second thing is ; where are all the others…

Still, being in CH implies remaining neutral, even when WatchHitler is around…

To All these people who claim brown dials are easy to make - show me one.

I fully accept it is possible but as yet, no one has shared a process I can follow.

Since I have known you a while I will tell you, but please don’t let anyone else know how it is done.
You must sprinkle this onto the dial before you put it into a pre heated domestic oven, 200c fan assist for 25 minutes and 59 seconds, any more and it will be ruined, any less and the dial will remain black.

To clarify, I don’t think you mean to suggest that it “is possible” that brown dials “are easy to make,” but instead that it may be possible to make them, full stop?

And contrary to the watchjesus post, if it is possible, I doubt it’s possible to do so “reliably, in less than an hour.”
