Assuming the tritium (half-life 12.3yrs) on my watch is fully spent by now (circa early 1970), is there any ‘common’ replacement option to provide luminosity again without changing hands or dial? Ps: you folk are getting too addictive for my curious mind, every time I read latest posts I learn something new and/or want to! Thanks for being such a good bunch Only joined as I was bequeathed a quartz Seamaster Omega, now bought a second automatic and keep resisting impulse to go for another (Like look of pie-pan face ones). Get thee behind me, Satan!
You can faux lume, which is tinting lume like on the Seamaster 60th photo from Fratello https://www.fratellowatches.com/omega-seamaster-300-60th-anniversary-2/ But your probably killing the value of your watch by doing it. (Few can do great work, many can do average work, a lot can ruin your dial)
