I picked up a Seamaster 300 Heritage a few months back and fell into the Omega rabbit hole; realised the Trilogy should be the next choice.

It arrived last week from Japan and I haven’t taken it off since, I think it is easily the best watch I’ve bought to date.

Dimensions of the Trilogy model on paper really don’t add up to the wrist experience; I thought it would be a little bit tubby but it has to be nearly perfect. I’m thinking the Railmaster next, the crystal looks epic.

How bad were the taxes / tariffs from purchasing from Japan?

They ended up being $900 aud- I couldn’t find one in Australia after looking for a few months so was happy to pay.

Nice shot on the NATO, @Indices - where did you get the strap? The color is a great match.

@Indices

Thank you. That would explain why pieces from Japan are always so inexpensive compared to domestic sales.

Cheers.

Thanks Studebaker, I found it at cnswatchbands, it’s a barley deluxe Nato. Quite soft, nice weave, good sheen in the sun. Went with 20mm and it fits easily.

Added the Speedmaster instead of the Railmaster after some consideration, once again sent from Japan via Chrono24, I couldn’t find one in Australia for many months.

The Trilogy series is stunning, the straight lug and smaller design of this case suits so many wrists, it is becoming my wife’s favourite!

Gotta Speedmaster and a Flightmaster……need a Seamaster and a Railmaster to complete the set!
Just as well they didn’t name the X33 the Spacemaster or I’d have to get one of those too……who am I kidding, probably will anyway!

Bought the seamaster first quickly followed by the railmaster, was never that taken on the speedmaster but it has grown on me. My only criticism is they are quite shinny, which goes against the vintage look.

Still loving my Railmaster after 6 years, but yes, I agree the shiny lugs, bezel and outer bracelet links were just too shiny, even with a few years of wear. the 316L Stainless steel doesn't scratch easily, so I lightly brushed my Railmaster a few years ago and I went from really liking it to Loving it....

The Trilogy Speedmaster feels very at home on the 321’s bracelet, perfect thinness and taper.
