Tri-Compax Dust Cover

Hi guys

I'm looking at a tri-compax at auction (specifically a 22297 with cal 281) but it's missing the movement dust cover.
How critical is this? And how difficult is it to source an original and correct one?
Are there any generic replacements that fit?

Thanks in advance

As an owner, yes it matters as it’s not a complete watch and the value at auction should reflect that. Pretty sure there were not many of this series made, they command a premium and you will have a difficult time finding a dust cover.

Yeah, definitely need to think through the value without the dust cover.

That is most definitely true.
