I will defer to the real experts who have the Sala book. Numbers look consistent but dial is very clean. Too clean? I've seen some funky things on this Auctionata site. Hands look OK. Case back has been polished to the point where the numbers are gone.

    Dial is good IMO.

Numbers are on the inside of the caseback

that is an understatement. Sloppiest auction house at the moment, I think.

Crown replaced, or pulled out? I can't tell. Agree with @LouS 's points.

They do phony bids to raise the prices.

Crowns were unsigned during this period I believe.

Original finish dial, but it is period incorrect. It belongs in a mid to late 50's Tri-Compax (note the numerical font in the sub-dials) Incorrect crown.

Yes and thus there is a mismatch between the actual white dial and the original golden day/month disks.
Then good luck for finding a 287 40' original Tri-Compax dial, a Holy Grail quest !

Yes, it doesn't take a UG expert to notice that the dial is of a different color than the calendar wheels. The difference is a matter of patina. And it is pretty convincing evidence that the dial has been replaced or redialed, more generally.

I don't think that it is the patina, it would be greyish not golden, anyway it's a detail...
One more problem: The reset pusher is too much out of the case, the gap is visible and it's not in the description, so much for the auctionata "experts"...

I've seen calendar wheels that color before. IMO it's more of a dulled grey than a gold. It could be patina - or perhaps something else? Not sure what else it could be.
