So I've just been banned from the Rolex forum for 'non pledge member selling'

A) I don't even know what that MEANS?

B) why doesn't the mod or webmaster perhaps warn or tell you that isn't allowed instead of just banning you just like that after you've made lots of posts on the forum on topic so clearly I'm not just some boy selling or something?!

A little leeway for people wouldn't be a bad thing jeez

To make it worse he seems to have blocked me ftom even VIEWING the forum. What kind of oppression is this?!

 

I've never visited the Rolex forum, but it sounds like you have to provide a financial contribution in order to sell there or you have to sign some kind of contract.

 

Because most other forums have absolutely perfect people in them.

As a flawed individual I find myself tolerated here.

Sometimes even encouraged.....

 

I"m shocked, SHOCKED to see selling going on here. TRF wants you to pay the site to be able to sell, that's what it means to be a "pledge member". Its their forum, they can do what they want, I don't think you're missing out a whole lot... I visit OF 25x for every 1x I go to TRF.

 

Well bloody hell ok fine I didn't know that so just remove my sale you don't need to BAN and BLOCK me?!?

 

It seems that the first, top of the page, thread at The Rolex Forum is :

It appears they enforce their rule.

Perhaps a more exotic forum name like Dung Chrono would help.

 

I've been banned for life from that lamentable excuse for a forum! Some autocrat moderator with his head where the sun don't shine, took exception to a point I made about how the under dial mechanism on a GMT Master II differs from the calendar mechanism on a simple cal. 3135 Date-Just! One is reminded of the legend of the emperor and his new clothes!

 

I was once threatened with a ban from a forum. I agree a warning is probably more appropriate in most cases but in mine I took it as an opportunity to hit the road and told the moderator to spare me the "chance" to redeem myself.

 

I would have liked to tell the Rolex forum moderator to "pound sand"! But having been banned.........!

 

I lasted a 17 minutes

They didn't like my " overpriced Seiko,s" as a screen name

 

1: I bet you would have known that what you did wasn't allowed if you had spent time reading the forum rules.
2: I bet they have TONS of infractions every single day, seeing how inflated and high-$ the Rolex market is. Not spending time arguing with people who break their rules I can, sort of, understand...

5: I don't really visit other forums after having discovered this, this reinforces my viewpoint.
