I think this watch is a 1949 Tresor, but the hands and movement are wrong for the watch (has a 30t2). Does anyone know if Omega used 30t2 in this watch -or- does anyone think this might be something other than a Tresor. It measures 37mm w/o crown, and is a press in 18k case.

Second question, if it is a mismatch of parts, thoughts on re-painting dial, or better to keep original?

    Thanks!

I can't comment on originality but it has a nice, honest patina and I surely would not repaint the dial. If you really wanted to you could have an expert gently clean the dial... But patina is even and nice, IMO.

We need to see pictures of the inside of the caseback and of the movement before we can comment.

Shot of the inside. Does this look like one that would be found in the Tresor? The serial number puts it within range. I am trying to see if it might be well enough left in this condition, I have a company that has done some very nice re-dials. There are three hallmarks on the back of the case, one 18k, and two other much smaller with matching marks by the lug.

I have no idea if yours is a Trésor or not. Can you show all the markings inside the case back?
    Here's my Trésor 2687.

Thanks. I couldn't get the back off (photo is from when I purchased it). Will take a shot on my next visit to the watch shop.
