Picked this up yesterday, great working order.
Have never seen a day date travel clocks before so it was a had to have item.
This model features desperate quick sets for day and date which ( to me ) is very cool.

A friend always booked an alarm call when he was abroad and staying in an hotel. The call would come and the reception would say, “Good morning, this is your alarm call …..”, or words to that effect.

When he visited China, he again booked an alarm call and, when he answered his hotel phone at the pre-arranged hour, the receptionist said, “Get up!”.

When I was in Switzerland some time back I would answer the phone 'Oui' and get the wake up call in French.
Had the memomatic with me which was also fun but a bit on the soft side. So it is nice to have a backup.
