Recieved the Dial and movement we were talking about in an earlier thread and as i still had the 105.012-66 CB case
and a faded bezel, i thought lets build a "rat" style Speedy.

    Here is the result.

The dial really is rotten, when light hits it in certain agles you can see the metal shining throu the paint,
but else i really like the look.
Serial number starts with 228 and it came in a box with 105.003 handwritten on it, that might be the reason
why somebody tried to remove the word professional from the dial.

I like the Leather Nato too, but it is very thick and stiff and the watch sits very high, got thinner leather Natos too but they are way too soft.

It started here in Germany too, always was a fan of Mad Max, totally inspired me when choosing a car or take care of it. I always like my cars dirty :D

I must say that I like the look of this one.....

It's beyond ghost, more like a zombie, an undead :D

If you were to list it on eBay, I'm pretty sure we all would be amazed over how high it would go! :)

Oh man, zombie Omega! I'm there. I have seen more than my fair share of Zombie movies. Too bad I sold an Omega with green patina. I could have called that the Zombie in my collection. As far as the leather on that NATO being too stiff and sitting to high, just break it in and it will relax.

Oh dear God ... it looks like it survived a nuclear war!

    That is AWESOME!! Well done!

You know how some people "flip" houses by buying fixer-uppers and upgrading and selling them? You might want to consider doing the reverse with watches ... Trashing 'em down and rolling 'em over. That Speedy is just plain sick ... I totally love it.

Business plan in the making for newbies and lurkers  [or an alternative to putting Disney's Pluto on the dial for some of the existing nutters.]

I do like that rat look on this one though

image.jpg Thanks for all the positive responses :)
Hope the extract will reveal the origin of the movement.
The wristshot from yesterday was pretty blurry so here is a better one :D
