Hi OF and thanks for the space! After a few too many purchases, a second baby on the way and the wife ready to buy a house, it is time to finally start culling the herd. First one up for grabs is a stunning 5.6 mil Rolex 1675 GMT, which I believe puts it around 1977. This one is as found, but comes with a warranty on the movement until 2/18. The dial and hands have a gorgeous, rich patina, and the movement is running flawlessly with all hands rotating as they should and the date turning over crisply at midnight. The bezel insert has a nice light fade that complements the watch perfectly. The case has been polished in the past (although it looks to have been quite awhile ago) and the caseback is earlier -- stamped I.70. This one is offered head only or on a rivet. The rivet is, admittedly, a bit rough around the edges and is well worn. My watchmaker believes it has been re-clasped at some point and should be attached to a C&I clasp. I've never had any problems with the bracelet as it is and it wears quite comfortably. It's currently on a 14 clasp dated 1/76. All in all, the watch presents gorgeously and looks even better in the metal. I've added quite a few pictures so I'll let the watch do the rest of the talking! I'm asking $8,000 with the rivet/$7,250 head only net to me by the end of the weekend. Buyer will receive a three-day review period and can return only if watch is not as advertised. Payment by PayPal gift, Chase QuickPay or wire transfer to my attorney trust account, where I will leave the wire until you receive the watch and indicate you are satisfied or until the expiration of the 3-day review period, whichever comes first. If payment by normal PayPal add 3%. Fact-to-face in NYC for cash also possible. Thanks again for the space OF! Let's get this one sold!!! References available upon request.
Agreed - Did you own this one at some point? First few photos look like your style. Anyway, fantastic watch. If I were in the market for a 1675 this would be the one. GLWS!
Good eye! We're friends and I knew someone that was potentially interested, so I snapped a few pix before it was listed.
Bump for price reduction to $8,500 w/rivet/$7,750 head only. I'll also consider trade offers for vintage Speedmasters and Rolex or Tudor Submariners of equal value or w/cash going either way if we need to balance out. Thx again OF! Let's find this beauty a new wrist!
Had some nibbles and a couple of offers that have come close. One last price drop on this one... $8,250 w/rivet/$7,500 head only OBRO by the weekend.
Come on guys ... buy this so I don't have to keep looking. I've got a 2998-3 and a 1680 red in my sights ... I don't need this distraction.
