traded my blancpain for the mother of all seamasters

I've always always wanted a Ploprof. I mean, how could you not? Sure, it's big and silly and impractical and expensive, but it's also one of the coolest (if not the coolest) dive watches ever made, bar-none. Picked up a Blancpain Bathyscaphe a few weeks back, and didn't feel anything for it straight out of the box, then when an 8900 titanium Ploprof appeared in Topper's pre-owned collection, I knew the timing had finally lined up. And now that my modern Seamaster holy trinity (AT Skyfall, LMLE, Ploprof), is completed, I feel like I can hang it up for awhile. This thing is truly amazing.

I guess the punchline is that if you love it but haven't tried it, don't let the numbers deter you - it's as cool as you'd imagine it'd be, but far more wearable. And for what it's worth, I've got a flat, 6.5" wrist. Will add a wrist shot or two once I get 'em.

dint know that a titanium ploprof was released by omega. that's lighter than the all steel version and looks cool.

I鈥檝e worn it鈥檚 steel counterpart a few times but felt that I needed to spend more time in the gym due to its weight - maybe this is the answer. Looks good btw

black dial is rarer than blue dial in the original 70s version. a blue titanium case should be interesting too.
i'll certainly consider this for future acquisition.

Massive congratulations! You're absolutely right, there's no other dive watch that'll match the presence of a Ploprof 600. Enjoy it in good health! It's grandfather says hello
