Hi all, I'm looking to downsize my small collection and trade up... wondering what trade value would you guys place on the following 2 "naked" vintage watches I have:
    1. rolex oyster date precision (circa 1960) 6694 with the 1225 movement
    2. omega military style (circa 1954) case ref. 2750-1 with the cal 266 movement.
Both are well maintained, keeping time well and last serviced in late 2018. I'm looking to trade up to an Omega Speedmaster Professional line...ideally 3572.50 or 3570.50
Pics attached for reference. Thank you for your opinions.

I recently bought a vintage seiko world time (6117-6400), already have a dive watch and an heirloom vintage watch so I figured I needed a chrono to complete the small collection. That's why I wanted to trade the aforementioned 2 watches for a speedy professional; ideally 3572.50, but 3570.50 is perfectly wonderful also...it could also be naked as long as the watch is real lol. What do you think?

Go for it. Put the 2 little ones up on eBay for sale, then apply the funds towards a used Speedmaster Pro - You might just break even on a 3570.50. I bought a 3572.50 from eLady on eBay for about $3500 with the pricey 2-year square trade warranty a couple of years back.

The problem is that you’ll have trouble finding trade partners unless you’re willing to get shafted. So let’s say the Rolex is worth $1650 and the Seamaster could be $800 that brings you to $2450. You could find a 3570.50 for $3000 but if you went to trade, the person on the end is likely to ask for your watches plus $1000 instead of $550.

Plus nobody is likely to trade without you sending your watches first plus payment before getting the Speedmaster which is extra risk. Better to sell and buy.

I was hoping to find someone local for a face to face. I live in the NYC area so I figured there would be folks willing to trade... I did not factor into the equation the possibility I would get flossed on trade value. Thanks for the input!

Trade is usually trading up, so you want someone to trade down and that’s a hard find.
As mentioned sell and then buy. Finding the trade for what you have got may take along time even if you added the Seiko

Do you have the bracelet for the Rolex as that affects selling also as head only means you are taking a hit also ( compared to others of the same watch with bracelet )

But don’t give up, we all do a bit off refocusing.

You don’t want to lack focus :D:D:D ( older members will get this )

You're right, but I'm still hopeful. Thanks for your reply. My seiko is definitely staying put though :)

For obvious reasons (both watches are redialed), I wouldn't be interested in any of the two.

While nobody has mentioned it yet, I believe the Omega dial has been refinished, which hurts the value a lot. The Rolex is decent, but it's the absolute entry-level model, so it has limited appeal. I put the total value under $2k USD realistically. As @STANDY mentioned, I think it will be pretty unlikely to find someone with a decent Speedy who's interested in trading down for those unless you throw in a ton of cash to make it worth their while to re-sell them. You could look for years.

@larryganz's advice is spot on. Sell them and free up some cash.

Thank you. That is probably the soundest advice.

I've got time and hopefully will sell these pieces off to help fund the purchase. Thanks.

I don't know you, but I'm thinking you'd appreciate a vintage Heuer chrono like the Carrera 2447T (or the reissued CS3110)

Thank you. I do have a great appreciation for vintage or similar looking timepieces yes. But for now, I have my heart set on a moon watch.

As a side note, I wouldn't mind a naked 3570.50 or 3572.50 and just the watch head if that helps. I like to dress my watches on my own straps and natos. :)

To me, more about the history and aesthetic of the moonwatch.

As you probably know, there is a Speedy Pro listed by a NYC seller in the Private Watch Sales section for a fair price.
