After a little research and discussion with our forum mentor, Dennis, I put in a bid on this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/14k-Solid-Gold-Longines-Gentlemans-Pre-Owned-Manual-Wind-Wristwatch-MINT-L-K-/221300150586?nma=true&si=dR7kguU0yZX%2B2Md8%2FR7EOsRF9I0%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Never been the only and winning bidder before. How could I forget, this was my actual first: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171154092701?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network The one above was actually my second.
And I give credit where credit is due and Dennis that credit goes to you. Thanks for your invaluable input.
Nah, no worries. Just like travelers have to keep their miles up to stay in the executive club, I have to keep my enabling up so I keep my "legendary" status current.
+1 on that, Dennis enabled me on this just a few days ago! http://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-longines-ultra-chron-1967-a-918463.html
Dennis will enable full squad of new Longines collectors around here........ ......in few years down the road there would be dedicated Antiquorum LonginesMania auction
So it's coming all the way from Chi-town, home of Da Bears, to So. Cal, with no Pro-football team. I'm sure it'll be fine. We have a lot of sun and snow only in higher elevations and only in certain months of the year, for those snowbirds who choose to dress warm.
I'm not sure how south you are in Cali. but there's always the San Diego Chargers...and no doubt your watch will be fine! Pictures are expected though once they both arrive.
Posting pictures after arrival is a no nonsense rule around here. I will abiding by the rule. I'm in Ontario, about 40 miles east of LA. The Charges are the adopted around here...so far. They're still trying to get a team. Just too many hurdles, legislatively etc.
Very nice purchase - both of them! I'd be interested in the accuracy of both calibers when you get a chance to calibrate them. Wrist shots would also be nice
