    OK, I'll play!
The bezel is wrong - should be dot above 90.
The hands are wrong - shouldn't be the batons but rather the pointy dagger ones (what are they really called!)
Are the pushers the right ones - can't see too well?
The subdial hands should indeed be daggers, I believe but probably white not black (or is that patina!!)
Should there be Ts beside the Swiss Made? I think not.

Enough from me. How'd I do?

I see that Mike has already posted this watch in another thread so I will quote his post from there.
To this I will also add the crystal tension ring is wrong. Crown is a modern replacement and not only is the bezel a much later replacement but that entails that it is the wrong size (diameter) too.

Don't feel bad, I missed that post too. If you look at the other images you can see the crown Omega sign is a modern type. The tension ring should be silver, not black as on latter Speedys. The hands are the correct shape, but not the correct models and size.

Know what the biggest thing wrong with that watch is?

    It's a Speedmaster and not a Constellation. :D

Watch with all the wrong components though is still worth a few thousand dollars in parts.

Yes, hopefully a buyer will pay for the viable parts and not think he is getting a complete prime treasure.

It's taken a long time, but I've just realised we need an "unlike" button round here... :taunt:

On a more serious note, where is the crystal tension ring visible ? Any chance of one of those pics with a big red ring to point out the defect to us visually impaired folks ?

The correct crystal for the 2998 had a shiny silver tension ring that is clearly visible all around the dial periphery. The later crystals (correct for the twisted lugs 321 speedmasters) had a black tension ring like this one incorrectly has.

Oh THAT ! Didn't realise it was so big - I was looking for a thin little thing.

    Thanks Steve.

It is hard to say for certain as the crystal is Saphire, but I believe the tenision ring in the New Omega Speedmaster FOIS 2998 Homage is silver as well. A positive attribute.

Never noticing them usually means they're correct. ;) They stick out like a sore thumb when the wrong one is used.
