Nice score! 👍 The caliber 27 is a family of manual-wind center-second and sub-second Tissot movements, based heavily on the earlier 21.7 caliber that was also an in-house design. Developed in the mid-1930s, the caliber 27 and its derivatives entered production around 1939 and ran into the mid-1950s. It was regarded as a rugged, robust movement, easy to manufacture and to repair. In fact, when Lemania needed a wartime movement in its ATP and WWW watches for the British Ministry of Defense, they chose a variant of the Tissot movement known as the A27.
