To scrap or not to scrap...?

I've been passed these by a friend that buys/sells all things vintage with the question - 'what should I do with them?'. Two are solid 9 carat, with the mother of pearl one seemingly gold plated, and none work (although two do tick for a couple of seconds once shaken a little). No names attached to them (with the exception of 'Trojan' on the movement of the gents rectangular).

My gut feeling is to sell the gold cases as scrap, and list the movements on ebay for spares, jewellery etc. This does feel a little sacrilegious though to me, anyone willing to comment and say what they would do?!? Dan

I'd probably list them on eBay as a job lot, as not working and for parts with a starting price about $10 below gold scrap value. That way you make some cash, someone may find a part they are looking for and someone chasing scrap gold gets to make $10 on the deal.

The one from the left looks interesting, could you advise better pictures ? Case, movement, dial ?
