Delete my own thread. It was so easy at one time, but since the upgrade? How to?

Go to the three little dots near the reply box in the bottom left corner of your post.
It displays a list of options.
Select Delete.

Delete my own thread. It was so easy at one time, but since the upgrade?

You can delete an individual comment but you can’t delete an entire thread. That wasn’t an option even before the upgrade.

I tried to delete one of my posts, clicked on the three little dots, and the drop down didn’t give me the option of deleting the post.

@Canuck are you trying to delete a thread or a comment? The first post in a thread is the thread, so this is only post/comment you won’t be able to delete. For example, clicking the three dots in the screenshot below will not bring up the option to delete as this post is the thread:

However, using the screenshot below as another example, this is an individual comment you are able to delete. Clicking the three dots will bring up the “delete” option

No worries, but I'm not sure why you can't see delete on that one. We haven't changed anything (except for very new members, so they can't post and delete as soon as they get an answer).

Can new members edit their post? I tried to explain how to do it to a new member but they could not see option.

No, that’s a new implementation from the mods as there have been too many new members create a thread for help only to fully delete it once they got their answer.

A few recent changes:

• Changed default time limits on editing posts. New members can only edit or delete their content within a 2 minute window. Once they've contributed 25 posts/replies, the edit limits are lifted.
