same markings than my watch ...belgian airforce .. see above the references for the movement. To be sure about the movement, you should post a pic of it. As to the value ... who knows ? anyhow the value of such watches must be sentimental first.

 

What do you mean with the movement ... Many people told me it's impossible that's an military watch because they only worked with Pontiac and tag Heuer and other collectors stayed its a military watch. The jewelry who fixed him a bit said the inside mechanism is lemania valjoux..

 

"inside mechanism" = "movement".

 

Lemania base caliber , but no lume, gold numerals and gold hands are not very military specs....... Unlikely, that your engraving is correct here. Pls. take a clear picture from the case back and report back. Focus on the numeral 1, pls. Both examples start with British markings and end with Non Belgium markings. Kind regards. Achim

Thats what I thought....this engraving was not done for a military inventory. Starts British 6B and finishes something else. If British and correct, the 1 is one stroke. Not the European small uptick on the top. Unfortunately quite common with " military " watches to hopefully add value to normal examples. Kind regards. Achim

 

So, can I tell people it is military watch or a civilian watch?? And what is the watch worth if I want to sell it in the future? The watch comes from a pilot in the family, I don't know it anymore....which price can you put on it if a collector wants to buy it, so I don't get ripped off .. Hhis first opinion was that it was a military version but was 'not sure. I had already offers until 1100 euros... But I rather keep it because I love to wear a watch like this It have a story and also have sentimental value. The jewelry man was right it is a tissot ch27 lemania valjoux 1950. Notwithstanding your -probably valid- considerations about the markings, fact remains that my father received that watch from the belgian air force ... it was never a watch that he bought and got military markings done on it. Actually, he bought a watch upon his return from Germany, a Doxa chronograph that I still own today but abandoned it when he received the Tissot ! Hence my opinion : the watch was an endowment, the markings are perhaps not fully faithful to some rules, but it is a military watch nonetheless.

That's what I thought also,my grandmother's so' was a pilot for the Belgian air force, unfortunately he died i' a plane crash between England and Belgium.. He was a colonel in the air force. I think also it was en endowment of the miliatay air force for his work and live he offered. So itit is a military watch, and I think rare, becouse of the engrevings

I'm having trouble understanding the relationships here, unless @malilis is the "American collector" referred to in the top post and is also @Redbul's cousin.

Just as an FYI, the OP apparently decided not to keep it, since it's now listed on C24 with the claim that it is a military watch. Obviously, like Achim, I have never seen a military-issued watch like this one.

 

Of you look at the pic of the movement of my watch, you will see the similarités ..then membres have given lots of informations on that movement .. dont see what more you need

You appear to have a Tissot caliber CH27.4 made by Lemania. I can verify the manufacturing date of your watch if you could please provide a much larger photograph of your movement with better lighting and sharper focus, or if you can read and provide the two serial numbers on your movement.
