Tissot sideral restoration woes

Hi all,

I managed to snag an original tissot sideral with original strap the other day. Apparently they are a rare find with the strap. Anyway, I started the restoration process yesterday and found a half stripped minute wheel and a cannon pinion with a tooth missing.

Replacement parts on order. The cannon pinion was on way too tight and caused the problem. The good news is that the watch is producing some decent numbers with clean lines on the timegrapher so once the bits come in it should be an easy service. I just need to find the missing teeth rattling around somewhere…….

So I got a replacement cannon pinion and minute wheel. The watch is up and running but I can’t seem to be able to fit the second hand. Having some issues.
Still, it’s up and running.
