Hi, I have been collecting Omegas for a while and I have been wanting something with the 321 movement. I got this on Ebay and the movement looks pretty similar but it is not a 321. Does any body know if Omega produced anything with this movement. What is the relationship if any, with the 321 or 861. Thanks. 1448791A-41A1-40C8-9F85-12771D91837B.jpeg 2000EAEA-017A-41AD-84CC-B24F0FF2D155.jpeg D43BA316-A7F3-4885-832B-C1C4B5322C63.jpeg B6FD2B4C-807C-4722-84C0-5F5BF9436A24.jpeg

    Tissot 871 is a Lemania 1281 movement.
This movement is not a columnwheel movement as the Omega 321.
It is a cam lever movement.
It has some similarities to the Omega 861.
You can find some good informations in the www., if you search for Lemania 1281.

I did a search, but the information was not really good. Something like pretty much it is between the 321 and 861 as you said. Did Omega ever used it? I don’t remember anything with this movement. Is this as good movement as the 321/861?

I do not know exactly, but I think, Omega did not use exact the same movement.
There is no "better" or "as good as", if you compare this movements.
All this movements have a good quality, Lemania has had lots of years of experience with building good chronograph movements.
The Lemania 1281 is/was a good quality movement.

The Lemania 1281 evolved into the Lemania 1873, which was rebranded as the Omega 861.

This... it’s the missing link between the 321 and 861. Aspects of both.

Basically the slower rate of the 321 with some cost savings from the redesign, but not with the faster ( more accurate?) beat rate of the 861.

A lemania 1873 is identical to the 861/1861. Down to odd quirks of labeling the movements. Example both received an 18th jewel in about 1988 but stayed marked 17 jewels for about 2 years. Literally the only difference is the finishing and brand specific engraving.

I know. Mine came with an Tissot steel bracelet but I didn’t like the way the watch looked with it. I’m searching for a racing strap.

Is it the original bracelet for the watch? I'm looking for an original bracelet for the watch if you still have it.

Just bought this bracelet for my 40508-4. Not a 100% sure if correct for the watch, and will only be able to check next weekend.

Thats a nice band Super70. What is the width of the endlinks if you don't mind me asking? I believe the Tissot you have is slightly slightly larger than the 1281 Tissot that Mancio has (18mm on the 1281). From what I read, though your model has the same shape, it has a larger diameter and lug to lug, so I don't think the bracelets would match.

Lug width is 18.9 mm, as the endlink width is 18.9 … so quite tight, but still works fine
