Well I’m more excited about Charlie Brown and the existential crisis kite, but yes ...more compelling automatic watches from a heritage brand is great!
the Navi XL could be a great beater, but not too enthusiastic about its [most likely] Miyota movement.. thoughts/experience with these?

Grew up on the books. My dad had em all. Of course the Sunday paper. I just love the line drawings on these Marlins and of course the fact that these are automatic.
Yep totally agree and, underneath it all, the Marlin is a great little watch for what is basically beer money.
Only gripe I have with the Marlin movement is the noise the rotor makes... can't have your cake and eat it I guess
Theoretically, one should have his cake then eat it. That’s logical way. What is impossible to do is eat your cake and have it too. Dunno why the saying is “you cant have your cake and eat it too”.
