Hello! I was browsing the bay, just looking for cheap watches when this popped into view. The seller has obviously no idea what he is selling (neither do I), but I managed to dig up that after 1963 TIMEX outsourced production to the far east. Before that they used to produce their watches in Great Britain, Dundee. Clearly there is "GREAT BRITAIN" written on the dial, but the seller told me he guesses it is from the 70's. I have seen a similar 60's TIMEX on the Urban Gentry YouTube channel. So Omega gents, is there something you know about this watch?
These watches are cheap and can be fun, but they aren't "hidden gems" or anything. The movements are usually "no jewels" and essentially not serviceable according to my watchmaker. However, if cheap enough and it strikes your fancy, no reason not to. I have two old Timexes.
