The price for thisPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network seems to be extremely mouth watering...anyone else seen something similar?

That doesn't look like a chronometer movement even...

This seems like a creative redial. Nice star with 6 points though

Personally I think they are full of shit, dial has clearly been messed with, more likely a complete fantasy. Why does the dial have a London reference when the extract says it was delivered to South Africa, why is there no mention of it being a chronometer on the extract, what's going on with that horrible blue 24 hour scale printed next to a faded red one? Should something this early be marked Swiss Made on the dial?

But hey, they may find a sucker to snap it up at their bargain price of $20K.

Yes! This is what immediately jumped out at me. It's impossible that there would have originally been two different 24 hour scales.

Also, if this is a chronometer, it should have a 30T2rg movement, which should have a fine adjustment on the regulator. Or at least that's what I have seen.

    Early 1940s movement, so probably a 30t2.

I'm almost positive there was a thread on this watch in the past. I believe it has been on Ebay for awhile and I can see why.

When he first listed the watch I messaged him to ask him if he was aware that his account had been hacked:p

It would be an embarrassment for an individual seller; for a dealer, it's a complete disgrace.

I do not think this dial is a complete re-dial.

IMO it is an original dial concerning the radially printed Arabic numbers, the 1/5-seconds track and the logo/Omega wording and star.

But: The red "Chronometer" lettering and the blue numbers have been added later to pimp up the dial - most likely also the dealer´s text (but not necessarily so)

The "SWISS MADE" is OK for this type of dial.

For your reference - here is an original dial

and of course the watch in question is no chronometer - it has a simple cal. 30 SC T2
