Hey guys,

besides my beloved Omega watches, I am addicted to the brand Enicar
A well known person of the Enicar collector community, Martijn van der Veen, started the idea of writing a book about the brand around a year ago. In fact, he was in Lengnau, the old headquarter of Enicar in the last year to collect stories and information to fill this book.

Last week he started a Kickstarter Campaign to make that book happen. A lot of the Enicaristi allready funded this project, but we need more support
Rose-colored glasses away, I think this is also a nice lecture for all collectors of any swiss brand, since this book is more about story telling, than just about facts (like MWO, which is the reference for me, but a different approach).

So, please have a look at the campaign and chose a pledge if you like it

Besides my Omegas, I have some other watches in my collection, some are Enicars.
The history of the brand Enicar seems to be very interesting and I know Martijn as a honest and reputable Enicar collector.
That is the reason, why I have supported this kickstarter project and would like to see this project realised.

Nice, good luck. Always fun to see more watch scholarship... plus I've always wanted to learn more about Enicar . Nico's love for the brand is contagious.

Of course I have also subscribed and passed it on to a few other people. The campaign is now >50% funded. Let's get this lovely book into existence!

 

I somehow dont allign myself with Enicar. I have mailed them and called them so many times, but they just dont seem to reply. I heard Enicar used to be very famous in China but now not so much. Which other countries are they popular in?

 

Todays Enicar is not comparable with the old brand. They went bancrupt in the beginning 80s. A guy from HongKong bought the name rights....and this is what Enicar is today
One side effect is, that they have a non existent customer service.

But again, totally different company, just the same name.

Correct, this book will focus on the history of vintage Enicar, from 1913- approx. 1982
