Join us in London, on Tuesday 25th January, for an evening of horological show & tell, over a few pints, with good friends.

When
Tuesday 25th January - from 6:30pm until 10:30pm

Where
A private function room, in a nice pub, within the City of London - for security reasons, the exact location will be shared with ticket holders 24 hours before the event.

Important: New Structure & Timings for 2022!
Following on from the success of October’s “Show & Tell” segment, I’ve decided to make it a permanent part of Time 4A Pint GTGs from now on, and add a little more structure to the evening.

So what does this mean?

First off, you need to arrive between 18:30 and 19:30 so I can get you checked in, name badged up. If you’re running late, no worries, but please try to be with us by 19:30 so I run the rest of the event (it's just me!).

At 20:00, I’ll be asking for everyone’s attention, and kicking off the Show & Tell section of the evening, which will run until 20:30

During our 30 minute Show & Tell session, five people will have the opportunity to stand up and show us a watch they love, share the story that goes with it and answer any questions from the room. giving us all the chance to see and hear about things that we might not have seen or heard about before.

Education for the Win!

These slots are open to everyone, but need to be booked in advance (so you can send me the name of the watch you want to talk about, and some photographs). If you’re interested in getting involved, please tick the box and fill out the associated field when you book your ticket.

We need to give the room back by 22:30, so please make sure you’re packed up and ready to go by then.

The main bar will be open until the pub closes at 23:00.

What to Expect
  • To be asked for proof of full vaccination (at least two doses) when you register, and proof of a negative covid test taken within 24 hours of arrival. Free rapid lateral flow home tests are available for free, from the NHS - Get yours here.

  • A private event space, where you can relax, hang out with fellow collectors, and share your watches, and their stories in comfort.

  • A maximum of 40 watch collectors with hugely varied collections.

  • Hand sanitiser on arrival, and on all of the tables.

  • An easy going, friendly environment.

How to Get Involved
Tickets are £15 (plus eventbrite transaction fees), and are available through the checkout below. On a mobile device or tablet? Click this link to get your ticket.

Covid-19 Refund & Cancellation Policy
In the unfortunate event that you contract Covid-19 and are unable to attend, please contact me no more than 48 hours before the event to cancel your ticket and receive a full refund.

In the final 48 hours before the event I am unfortunately unable to offer refunds.

Due to an increased out of pocket room hire cost, tickets are non-refundable for any other reason, but can be transferred to a friend at request.

It's looking like a bit of a quiet month, but with a week to go 15 people have signed up, so we're past the minimum headcount the venue requires, and can go ahead!

If you're in London on the 25th and fancy joining us in the evening for a few beers/wines/spirits/soft drinks and lots fo friendly talk about watches, please get signed up today: https://time4apint39.eventbrite.co.uk

Cheers

Chris

Sidenote:

I've specified that people need to be vaccinated and have a negative lateral flow test on the day of the event, for the safety of everyone involved.

In the same way that I have always done a risk assessment when working with a new venue, Covid-19 has put me into a position where there is a new risk to asses, the possibility of someone who is infectious, being in a relatively small space with 35 other people.

This requirement seems to have made some people really quite angry (100+ mailing list unsubscribes and some fruity messages).

I am not saying you need to be vaccinated. I have my views, but I am not going to argue with anyone over this. It's just not worth my time or energy. I have better things to do.

I am saying that you need to be vaccinated and have a negative test result to come to a private event that I am hosting, and where I hold legal liability for the safety of those in attendance.

I'm sorry if anyone feels that this excludes them from attending, but as a responsible event producer, this is a decision that I have made.
