Hi Guys, I can't make it this time, but would possibly like to attend in the future! How often do you hold these get togethers? One question, where do you have these meetings, is there not a bit of a 'security risk' with having that many watches out on a table in a pub in london?

sorry if that seems negative but the last thing i would want is for anything to happen!

1 - I'm planning to run one a month.

2 - Security is a concern for all involved, we've used private rooms in three location so far. I'm currently scouting some further locations with private rooms, to keep things fresh.

3 - location is only disclosed to those that have registered, and been vetted as real people, with real watches. On average I'm turning away 5 people per meet, because they can't prove to me that they're legit.

4 - if you register for this one, you'll be on the mailing list for future meets, and know they're happening first!

Feb 21st is my birthday so drink a pint for me!.

 

I actually am in London that week. Busy as hell though. Would love to attend but not sure my schedule works.

Security risk is directly correlated to the number of pints consumed. It gets tricky if you consume more than 6 pints. Last time I lost my Ed White, but then thankfully found amongst a packet of dry roasted peanuts.

Sounds good, I thought after posting however- i have still not purchased my first omega, Will i still be welcome? i feel like i can't really bring a lot to the table without having a single watch! I am just keen to learn as much as i can about these watches prior to purchasing.

Damn, I knew it was plain nuts to try that kind of a swap

 

The one big ask is that you bring at least one watch... otherwise you're missing out on half of what GTGs are about... skin in the game.
