Becoming friends with @SgWatchBaron has warped me into thinking that fuchsia inserts grow on trees...so naturally I had to buy one. But I went about it in a very unexpected way. Long story short...texted with a guy on ebay about a watch, he shared a pic of a 68 long e with a fuchsia insert...fast forward 2 days and @Kali77 met a guy at a bank and handed over a large sum of cash and shipped via a label from @Noles_88. It truly takes a village in this hobby, so thanks guys! I pulled the trigger based on the pics and the belief that the lume patina was a shade or two darker than my current long E. Well...got it today and damned if the dial lume was near identical to my current one! So, I just swapped inserts and will call it day since my current one has the original bracelet and case is a bit fatter. Funny how things work out...now to sell the 68 long E donor watch...which wasn't part of the plan https://www.instagram.com/p/BfJYw61FNy4/
When i see his IG posts I too am lead to believe that all manner of weird and wonderful things simply grow on trees...especially where he is located in the world. Looks great Congrats...
@watchknut Stunning man!! I will say as good as these pics are that insert in person is truly amazing and pristine! Happy I could help you pick this piece up. Enjoy it and wear it good health
