These particular JLC references are not in my wheelhouse, therefore...

I will wait for a confirmed answer (if anyone in fact knows for sure), then confirm it as my opinion as well. 馃槣

#2 is redial for sure. Not sure about #3, but lean toward redial.

#1 has a chance, but I need to do a little more research. Will edit this post if I find anything.

Edit -

I think I found two of the watches. Here are some full dial shots:

#1

#3

Now, I've found another watch with the same dial:

My opinion has changed. Now I think #1 is a great redial, maybe even a JLC factory job. #3 could be original. It also has the "Swiss" on the bottom.

This last one, let's call it #4, I think there is a 90%+ chance of being original. The tell here is the "Swiss" at the bottom of the dial. That is what I first thought, but I wanted to find another example of the dial with some patina.

I think every watch shown in this thread is a redial, but what do I know?
Quite a bit. Don't sell yourself short.

Wasn't thrilled that the OP didn't post the full head on shots that were on the various sellers' websites.

Felt like I was taking the CPA exam or something. At least you get partial credit there.

Okay well I hate to disappoint those waiting for a definitive answer but I do not have one. Like many others, I find these JLC dials very difficult to assess.

#2 seemed quite sloppy and a bit of a write-off but #1 and #3 were more difficult. After some serious Googling, it appears that a high percentage of these watches have iffy dials. Could it be that JLC buyers have a particular fondness for freshness?

@gatorcpa I wanted to limit the scrutiny to the signatures and minute tracks though I acknowledge that the "Swiss" at 6 is an important (possibly crucial) variable. Also, viewing the entire dial from different perspectives (and even the condition of the movement) is certainly helpful when the job is not so cut and dried.

Thanks for humoring me.

So what did you think of #4?

The photographs of #4 (coupled with insufficient knowledge) are inadequate for me to confidently assess the dial. The printing looks relatively precise though.

Should "Swiss" appear on all JLC dials of this era? I know that it was not used consistently by Longines (my primary interest) but I defer to your expertise in this area.

Most, but not all. A lot of times, the printing is hidden by the bezel. But I do find that it is missed by most rediallers (see dial #1 above)..

That's why I took advantage of the decased dial picture.
