    Something a little different.

14K gold-filled 1966 Seamaster in Rose - White - Yellow tiger stripe case.

Check that out! Florentine bezel pattern too. Nice!

I saw that one online and thought it looked really neat:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/15085125656...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_3802wt_1003Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Has anyone seen that case ref before? I can't seem to find it on the Omega database or in any web searches (the only web search that had any tangible results was for the same watch via a different website).

You won't find it. It's not a Bienne-made case. It was made by Jonnell - you can tell by the J with the arrow. They were a NY case maker doing contract work since 1952 for brands that sent dials/hands/movements to their US import agents (Norman Morris for Omega back then). The Ω vintage database is incomplete, especially in the US made area.

Yes indeed, there are probably more US made cases NOT in the Omega database than there are in it.

...And a fair bit of incorrect information as well.

Leave it to someone from Oz to find that. Now that is truly a watch of a different color

The originally posted watch is rather subtle and limited to the bezel, this one is an interesting example, but honestly it really does look like total wank :p

Interesting that this example is also a US market watch.

Yes, and it's not a Jonnell. Guess a few companies did this tri-colored gold for Omega.
