Hi guys As some may have have noticed I'm on the hunt for fifties right now. When it's auctions, hard to decide witch one to go for. What do you think about these three? First one is a -52 ref. 2639: Second one claims to be an Italian military, a 1950 ref. 2640-1: Last but not least a black dial -58 sold by a watchmaker who seviced it: Comments please!
I think the 2639 is in the best state of preservation among the three, and has an awesome dial. I am partial to this reference, owning 2 of them.
Yes nice dial and a good size too, 36mm, since you've got two, no need to go for this one right? ...or maybe you're selling... Is this the one expected to go highest?
I can see that you follow the same auctions as me Probably won't be bidding on them, but both the first and third of your choices look great.
Noob question regarding the ref 2639. I know part of the "5" and "7" are sometimes missing because of the sub-dial but would so little of the "6" be left showing under the sub-dial? Sent from my Moto G using Tapatalk
Of course you wouldn't and Sweden loves Denmark...always This is the dilemma with those forums...helping the sellers advertising. I like all three of them, anything wrong with no 2? Not legit?
Errrr..... I recall you saying not long ago that swedish sellers cannot be trusted? A bunch of cheating liars all of them. You reconsidered without telling the forum so?
I don't recall that, and I think I said as much in our PM conversation? If I did, could you please find the place where I did?
