Took delivery of this guy earlier today. Can anyone shed any light on it? It is a Valjoux 7733 though I haven't had the back off yet. The chrono hand seems to have been painted at some stage as there appears to be paint smudges on the minute hand and on the second sub dial. When I bought it I did find another example of the watch with the same bezel (annoyingly I cannot find it now). That is my main concern with the watch, that the bezel is wrong - though it does look of a similar age to the watch (not that that is proof of anything). I have put an image of the other bezel below (image taken from a google search) The lume will have to be taken off I think. Any idea how much Swiss Time Service would charge for some dial work (removing lume, red paint from dub dial and minute hand)? and what I think may be the correct bezel
I owned this one until recently, and the stop-second hand was steel. I have seen some other examples with the red, though.
That's a lovely example. Do you mind me asking you where you bought it? I got mine on eBay but I haven't seen many vintage Stowas there.
