It does look nice at first glance. I hate to be a worrywart, but something about the dial just doesn't sit right with me. The black paint looks almost new.

Compare it to the relatively chewed up screw heads on the movement (not a good sign). I would expect either the movement to be equally pristine as the dial or for the dial to have similar wear as the movement. Just strikes me as a mismatch. 8k seems like a lot of money if there's any doubt.

Good luck. Frankly, I'd have been scared to buy it because of those pictures with the dial and movement uncased and sitting movement-side down on a mousepad. Ugh. Unless the seller's a watchmaker and serviced the watch afterwards, I'd be concerned they messed something up doing that.

I'd hope the dust cover is still on the underside while taking that pic..

Edit: OP, nice pickup. Post more pics when it arrives!

I would hope so, too. Still, uncasing the movement and dial is not a trivial exercise.

I think it will be ok. I usually take new watches to my watchmaker for a quick check up (typically a service).

It's a good idea to get a newly acquired 321 serviced anyway, so I'm not sure I'd care that these pictures were taken with the movement _ dial removed, as long as you have a picture of them re-cased, showing the dial with no damage.

    Hmmmm....

eBay still shows it at the starting ludicrous bid with 1 day to go.

We came to an agreement outside Ebay. He has it listed on WUS as well.
