Hi all -- can anyone tell me anything about this? Listed for $150 in a local craigslist ad. I think 35mm, they say 14k gold in the listing. Thanks!

    American market watch, maybe 20mm.

These are worth scrap value of the gold, which would be less than $100.

Most laypersons think that just because it’s gold it must be worth a lot of money.

I have a very heavy Longines 14k watch I got weighed and appraised for its gold weight after breaking it accidentally. the gold weight was appraised at about 115 euros because 14K is worth much less than 18k.
It’s a very chunky and heavy case and i would have not suspected. I ended up paying for the repair.
