Thoughts on this Seamaster, please? Cal 285 Ref 14390-6sc

Is the dial color possibly genuine patina? I see lume on the hands but not on the hour markers. I need to ask for better photos.

Yes, ask for better photos. Those are not only horribly focused they are very low resolution. The text and markers on the dial are so pixelated it's hard to tell anything. Perhaps they acquired their digital camera in the 1960s, along with the watch.

Even if it is original, it is not attractive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but you won't have an easy time selling it. Cigarette smoke migrated through bad seals is my guess.
