My education continues... as does my wandering eye! Would love to hear thoughts on this one: original dial, movement, etc etc. No pics of the crown, so more to come.

Thanks all!

Being new at this myself I will have nothing to offer other than I like it. Would love to own it.

Gonna be small, if you didn’t already know that.

Case lost definition it appears from pix

Love the radial numerals

Appearance alone, whether original or old redial,is a no go for me.

Questionable appearance inside case back, too.

Thinking in 1944, the crown shouldn’t be signed (which of course I can’t confirm with these pics) and the movement seems odd in that case. Also don’t like that the adjustment is slammed all the way...

Thanks for this. Yeah, waiting on confirmation, but would imagine 32mm, which I don’t mind for a dress watch.

I really didn't think Omega put square calibre's in round cases...

I didn’t think so either. Thanks for all the help everyone, this is going to be a pass for me.

Case back is fine, US market watch confirmed by the OXG marked movement.

Nice R17.8 Movement. Always liked those things. They're quite reliable little calibers as long as they've been serviced.
The watch looks nice - I like the pseudo-radial numbers and the excellent dial patina even if the lugs are a little worn.
