Hi All,

I recently bid and won this Omega, but having a few doubts about its originality.
Hands are incorrect,but the dial?
Would appreciate an experienced judgement.

Many thanks

Not an expert on this type at all but at a first look the dial looks refinished to me. Specifically:
- didn't love the alignment of O and M on the Omega text.
- not very keen about the way Seamaster is written. a's seem inconsistent and t's dash (-) looks tilted.
But the movement, case etc look alright to me. Cheers.

Thanks for your thoughts.
I just added another photo with a close up of my watch on the left, and an original that was sold on the right.

Looking closely,I think the colour of the numbers and writing on my look too blue possibly, unless it's the light.
These are the sellers pictures.

It’s a redial — lots of Seamaster 30s with this redial were sold out of India in the 1990s. Notice the hands are not even lumed — the original dial had no lume and didn’t look like this at all.

In short, the watch is real, but a fantasy redial.

I think what distracted me,was this, and another watch sold by a dealer that I thought was trust worthy.View attachment 1785776
