I have been looking at early chronographs and came across this, does it look original and that are these worth in 18k gold?

I think it's a stunning watch, a bit like the omega chronos.

Pish posh, man, it's the Omega chronos that resemble this one.

This was one of the iterations of Zenith's cal 146 pieces that represented Zenith's chronograph output from 1960 until Primero came along in 1969. They were made in numerous variations in both 18K gold and steel, and are quite reliable and workmanlike pieces. From this one pic, I see no problems with this one. I'd value it in the neighborhood of $1800-2200 if the rest of the piece matches the dial in condition and authenticity.

Uh, Lou? Omega was making that type of chrono long before 1960. ;)

Don't distract me with facts, man! :p

Zenith, strictly speaking, wasn't making chronos at all before 1960 - it was rebranding UG and Gallet, so I'll have to give you that.
