    Hello guys.
I came across the opportunity to buy this Seamaster from 2002, quartz movement, with box and papers, for the local equivalent to U$600.
    Few remarks:
The strap is not the original one.
It was without a battery in the picture, but I personally know the owner for many years and the watch has since had its battery replaced and is working.

What do you guys think about it?
Your opinions for or against are much appreciated!
    Thank you. 9F0D3705-8343-43EC-A240-89BCC4AE1B98.jpeg 0DCA1A09-4F00-4309-ABBC-9E4D3150E774.jpeg 245DB883-E89F-4930-99BC-E8ABF3AA240D.jpeg F6573F76-2522-4FD6-9929-C64B3BB80017.jpeg

I think it is a OK buy at $600USD if you intend to wear it. Probably not for a flip though. An original bracelet is likely to cost another couple hundred of bucks.

My only remarks would be the warranty card belongs to another watch and the movement may needs attention as the date is stuck between two days. Perhaps it is just in the process of changing date.

Thanks for your input! How can you tell the warranty card belongs to another watch? I searched omega’s website for that reference and looks exactly the same watch: https://www.omegawatches.com/watch-omega-seamaster-300-m-quartz-29645091

Regarding the movement, I verified that it is working as expected (date is okay) upon changing the battery

My mistake on the reference, apologies! I must of mistyped the reference number into Google. I am use to seeing the reference 2264.50 which I believe is the same watch but on a bracelet.

No worries! My intention is indeed to keep this for myself, not into the flipping games.
I’d probably wear it on that black Omega NATO that comes with the speedy pro, I think it’ll be a nice fit.

I think for $600, it a nice deal. Put it on a new strap and you are good to go. I would advise a pressure test and replacement of gaskets from a qualified watchmaker before taking it in the water though.

Well 600usd is a pretty good deal for a quartz seamaster , I would save some more money and go for an automatic one. Prefer the smooth sweep and you connect more with your timepiece , on the other hand if you are a person who doesnt bother and want a watch that everytime you wear it is ticking then go for it.

Thank you! From looking at somewhat similar watches in Crown and Caliber I figured it would be a nice enough deal, considering I won’t have to pay extra for another strap at the moment.
And thanks for the tip, I don’t plan on taking it to water before doing all those validations!

I hear you! I just recently purchased a speedy pro and scratched that mechanical watch itch. I have several other simpler quartz watches, mainly Bulovas and I love them. Thanks for the input!

You've probably already bought it, if not, go for it! That's a good price.
