The Speedmaster 105002 i am offering has still the original Dauphine hands, all other hands, and bezel, are original. Only the crown is new.

    Condition: Vintage
    Movement: Cal. 321
    Crystal: Original Omega Plexi.
    Case: Steel
    Dimensions: 39 mm diameter
    Strap: NON-Omega brown leather.
As can be seen on the pictures a Z has been scratched on the Caseback, i presume by a child.
    Serialnummer starts with: 19..

I think Mr. Luzer's motive is familiar (and forgive me if I'm mistaken, Mr. Luzer). I find I do the same when I get "bitten." I research the heck out of it, asking opinions along the way. It's a bitter pill to swallow when you drop $5-$7K USD and find you've made a costly mistake.

Still, it would be nice to know the human element behind the numerous inquiries. And besides, I'm learning as we go, so I continue to tag along with great interest.

Yup. We are all still learning (especially me) ....

That said, it would be nice to know the human element behind the inquiries of Mr. Luzer, respectfully.

sorry it appears that i am trolling/asking too many questions or being indecisive.

the truth is: i have a purchased a few watches before, but never any vintage ones. i have my heart set on an original Omega Speedmaster pre-moon 2998 or tropical 321 or FAP.

considering the learning curve surrounding these models; not to mention the implied risk of being a luxury items that is 50 years old; or the fact that my WAG hates when i waste $6K; and my desire to research everything 110% before i purchase: the result is- i am TRYING to learn everything i can, ask the right questions, not make a costly mistake, own something i will wear every day and cherish for years. i visit all the forums, ebay, chrono24, the blogs daily.

THANK YOU everyone for helping, answering my questions.
i would gladly hire someone to assist me in my search. if you guys did that.

    thanks again
    CJ

    Mr Luzer
you are very welcome, and I for one enjoy analysing purchases or potential ones for forum members. But remember it is a community forum, and so I feel better when members contribute their own thoughts too.

I never criticise or make fun of anyone asking what to some might be a silly or uninformed question. especially if asked politely. I have learned my best information from asking some pretty basic questions, that everyone else knew the answer.

we all start somewhere. Please stick around. I feel like one purchase may not be enough......

    welcome!

Well I see three watches coming your way....though the FAP may take a while!

and the tropical, well that takes years and endless comparisons. Then you buy one, finally. then meet someone with a better brown, and it's off hunting again!

    browns are a dark art.

    Love this.

Never realized how true this is until Luzer brought these all under the microscope. I'm fighting the urge to take notes and start hunting...

Luckily I'm out of "ammo." $;)$

You're still hunting, and when one you really want comes along you WILL find a way. :p
