I need to find a good reference to look at this model more carefully but seeking more learned eyes. The first has a wire or spring to the left I’m trying to place.

On the second, I’m mainly curious about the hands and dial. But I’m a neophyte so all help is welcome.

you’ve saved me from disaster before.

The first is above. I think the light was just catching the metal where I thought there was a wire.

This is the second. Ill keep looking for a good thread showing these with any variations.

The first one looks attractive, but the movement number is too late for the bezel, and the caseback is for a date model. It finished at £4,400 last week and £4,300 this week, which frankly is much higher than I'd have expected with those two issues - shows what an attractive dial and bezel does for these SM300s I guess.

Thanks, I didn't see the movement number on the movement of the first one. The second one looked a little painted to me. Is there a resource I should be looking at to help put these jigsaw puzzles together? I do look through the forum but I hate coming to the well constantly with questions for you guys, particularly ones that I maybe should know the answer to... :)

Back again.Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Looks like the seller is struggling to find a buyer that sticks.

Would seem to be back again, again. This time with some additional clarification on serial number issues and the suggestion of a possible Comex relationship, which cannot be proved. (edit: the movement photos have been removed)
It's a shame because I quite like the watch, but the lack of clarity in the earlier listings leave one a little sceptical. It's also a shame because to me these 'assembled' watches don't have the stigma of say an 'assembled' Speedmaster because of the Watchco association, and I think it would sell in it's own right with a bit of transparency.
