Saw this watch on eBay: Rare Vintage 1952 Omega Constellation 18K Gold Watch ref. 2648 1st modelPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network What does the group think of this dial? Original or redial? Case and movement look pretty good to me. I realize that there is some degradation, that is expected. It's the degradation that leads me to believe that it is original. Tough to fake that, and it seems consistent with the wear on the case.
I don't like it, the 6 and 12 o clock markers look out of line to me and shouldn't we be seeing double crossed t's on this reference?
The markers are all way off. I find it very hard to believe that Omega would put out a dial that was so inaccurate. No Swiss Made. I am going with redial. I like this one (not mine)
Redial. Aside from the fonts being problematic, the minute marker ring is not only misaligned but is should have a smaller circle so that the minute hand tip just touches it. Desmond's watch (as pictured by Steve) demonstrates this.
I was 75% sure it was a redial. I haven't seen enough of this style to post in the "recommended" thread. Thanks again, gatorcpa
