    Hi Guys,

This Speedmaster is for sale, and just wondering where you think it sits value/condition wise on the price chart?

It looks to be in very good condition, with an almost flawless DON and awesome looking dial.

I already have a 145.012-67 funnily enough, but the dial has been re-lumed so was half thinking of maybe buying this, then selling mine.

    $_20.JPG $_20 (17).JPG $_20 (16).JPG $_20 (15).JPG $_20 (14).JPG $_20 (13).JPG $_20 (12).JPG $_20 (11).JPG

    Thanks!
    Ed

Well the bracelet is wrong and the case has more polishing than I'd like. However, the dial and hands are stunning (as is the bezel), with the hands appearing slightly darker, especially the chronograph hand, which makes it more likely to be original imo.

I'd day 'Good' minus a certain amount for the case. Of course in the flesh you might think the dial is so good that it negates the case polishing.

I agree with this assessment 100%. Try to make sure it has not also been expertly re-lumed: ask the seller and try to check the luminence with UV. Remember to factor in the service when "exchanging" your Speedy. I did the same thing the other day, selling my 145.012-67 and buying another and now it's on its way to being serviced. Go for it if the upgrade is worthwhile for you!

I quite like your one Ed. Your's has nice sharp case lines and a lovely flat link bracelet:thumbsup:....but I suppose if the re-lume really bothers you.::confused2::

I think yours is nice, but if you’re not happy with it and it bothers you, maybe you should change it for something that makes you happier

You could buy it and swap the dial and bezel into your case.... nothing wrong with doing that IMO as long as it's disclosed at sale time

If it’s been expertly re-lumed it’s likely the UV test won’t be able to tell. The real artists are using period tritium in the mix now.

I guess there will be a point in time then that it won't matter if it has been re-lumed or not: at least if we really can't tell the difference anymore. All the more reason to look at the rest of the watch, like polishing etc. Maybe the one the OP has already is nicer then........

I do agree with what others have said: yours looks nicer to me, and at least you know exactly what it is - and what it isn't.

Thanks for all the replies everyone! I think I'll stick with mine :)

I will see what price the seller wants, maybe I'll end up with two :p

Still looks a tad soft to me, but the dial's nice and everything else checks out so it comes down to price really
