Thoughts on summer blue world timer

I've been thinking about this watch in titanium because the monochrome gray and titanium is just so cool...

But then I'm seeing this summer blue color in the rubber band that is literally so cool.

I'm seeing a lot of the resale market and I was a little curious about that.

Why are so many people selling these, any owners here? Thoughts?

I think "Bienne" is the problem. Out of thousands of European cities, they picked THAT. Nobody knows where it is.

Its det home of Omega! But you are right, nobody knows where it is. Maybe the " for that price you could gotten a Rolex " is a bigger reason for selling?

It's a really nice watch and I love the color. But I really don't like how the map of the world looks from that perspective.

This is my second least-favorite watch from the Summer Blue collection (behind the AT). Nothing wrong with it, but for me, it doesn't hold a candle to the original Worldtimer whose deeper blue makes the Summer Blue look rather dull.

Personally like the rich colour of the PO standard blue

Same with me, I was shown the watch and gave a polite smile, and that's it. Don't care for powder blue and the dial is somewhat gimmicky...

I've hesitated to respond to this post, because I am a huge fan of most of the summer blue watches. But.... I'm just not convinced it works as well on the world timer, because the slightly darker blue gives an oceanic impression that I think really works.


as far as the number of these watches being resold, I wouldn't let it bother me. The Rolex Submariner is readily available to anyone who has the asking price- really, almost any modern Omega or Rolex (excluding some of the limited pieces) has a decent number of sales listings if you look around. You could take a look at watch charts data to see what it says about value retention and resalability, but if you like the design, that wouldn't phase me.

For the Worldtimer models, I much prefer the original blue. Most of the summer blue collection are nicely done, but I think on this model, that extra contrast between the darker and lighter blue is really needed to make the watch pop.
