If you are ok with the redial and the incorrect crown, it is an attractive watch. I would offer him less money for it though. I also don't think there is much price appreciation in the future for this watch.
How can you tell it's a redial, just by eyeballing it? I didn't see it listed as a redial. I guess too good to be true.
35mm and above is where the investment quality is at, anything smaller won't have the same crowd chasing up the prices. You really want to look at 37 and 38mm sizes, I think.
If he was an investor - this would make some sense. But then again, if he was an investor, I would advise him to stay away from watches. Since I assume he wants to buy a watch that he likes, the fact that it is 33mm is irrelevant. In fact, it keeps the prices lower. Also, yes it is certainly a redial.
