Came across this one through a mutual acquaintance but I'm not familiar enough with these to judge this one with any certainty, so, what say any Eterna-philes out there?



17j Eterna branded manual mvm't according to seller, runs well but no service history, no mvm't shot yet.

 

Looks like a winner to me. Just dump that strap

 

Birks was (is) a well respected jeweler in Canada. They were the distributor for Longines and Eterna going way back. They commonly had their name put on the dial.

 

Looks fine. A nice watch.

 

Thanks for the quick input guys - I'm slightly familiar with Birks and have wanted one with their dial signature for a while - pics of course to come if all goes well!

 

I should add that I'm not certain that the crown is original. But that should be a relatively easy fix, if necessary.
