eh, it's enough to keep many OF members from going to look at it in order to gicve you feedback.

I suspect you meant to say"...couldn't be much easier for ME." 😁

Gotcha, saw that. Unfortunately I can't rip the photos out of an ebay listing, so I am cutting to the chase and showing the listing, gives all the details, not just pictures. Can someone just help out and not critique?

click photo on ebay link to get larger photo

right click on it, save photo, then post it here

I'm new here and I get it. Why can't you do the minimum?

eBay listings change or get removed.

Photos added here, don't.

You checked the listing? Thanks! At least someone will play along. So you purchased a watch from this seller? Had problems?

I simply checked his feedback. Watch looks ok to me. Just question the seller which is the most important thing.

The two reviews do seem to be written in a somewhat crazy fashion. Maybe i'll reach out to him for more info. Thank you.

Everything he sells is "private" so you can't get any details. Not a fan of private history when I'm spending my money.
Never bought anything from Serbia. Like I said before, the watch looks to be in order. Only minor problems that I can see. Price seems ok.

This just landed in my inbox from 76deuce....

Don't really appreciate his thoughts.......Obviously hasn't read 'How to make friends and influence people"

"Wow. I am on many different forums for cars, motorcycles, HiFi and musical instruments. This is by far the saddest of the bunch. I came asking for a little advice, adding a link so that ALL of the info of the watch can be read, not just seen. But all I get is grief. Glad you get it new guy, guess I don't. So here, to appease all of the rule nerds, here's "

You don't have to appreciate them, just how I feel. I am sorry we disagree. I am thankful someone just went to the listing instead of spending their time instructing me how to post on a forum. Much more was accomplished that way.

If you say so.

I'm a fan of the phrase "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime"

I'm assuming you'll be back with more "Is this watch any good?" threads and I was trying to help you get better feedback. It's up to you if you take any advice given.

Comments like "This is by far the saddest bunch..." doesn't really endear anyone to help you though, does it?

I will not be back with those questions, no. I have helped many people on matters I am more knowledgeable in than they, even if they didn't follow the "rules" of posting to a T. The idea was to inform them on what they were asking help with and get their problems worked out, not tell them what they are doing wrong in writing their post. That's what's sad here. Just looking for a little guidance on something I am not very knowledgeable in, not have the first three responders to my question tell me i'm asking it wrong. Thank you redpcar for your response, and no, I will not be back. To play by the "rules", here's the watch:

My point was you were likely to get more responses if you actually posted pics. When you only post a link, many knowledgeable folks here will not bother clicking through just to give you a little help, as there is a constant stream of these types of requests. Make it easy, and have the photos posted here for reference and to help others learn down the road, and you will get more responses/ assessments.

It's not "playing by the rules" per say, but more like "I don't want to take a few minutes in order to make this easier for everyone else." It only serves to limit what you get out of it.

I'm not very well informed yet as to spotting things wrong with vintage watches(except for some very obvious things), so i'd to hear what the more informed have to say about this Seamaster 600 i'm interested in. Thanks!

At the rate you're going, asking for help instead of researching and actually doing some of the things needed to grow and learn in this hobby, you will continue to be 'not very well informed'.
I understand that you came looking for some quick feedback, and that perhaps you can get that in the world of motorcycles and what not. But this forum doesn't necessarily appeal to those that want instant gratification.

Hi Larry,
I am okay with a link (as long as it is accessible) or pictures.
The watch appears ok to me, except......... A closer look, you will find some of the black insert in the minute hand is missing.
Hope it helps.
