Thoughts on a 2639

Good morning,

This is not on ebay and therefore I didn't want to post it under that link. I came across this watch online and wanted to get everyones thoughts.

The hands are all wrong (wrong shape and color), and the crown. But otherwise I thought it is pretty. No?

More photos needed to assess dial but looks similar to 2639-7 i have. I’d say hands look ok. Crown replaced.
These are quite plentiful so I would look for better example they have nice case lines esp when not overpolished. Lacquer degradation is common on black dials visible on magnification photos but not bad on the wrist. Cal 266 is from 30t movement line
Dial is larger 36mm I believe.

I have a feeling that dial is going to be stunning in person. Like these.

Looking on computer I think @seekingseaquest is correct looks like gilt dial with fairly uniform wearthrough of black lacquer showing underlying brass dial- so called "Starry sky" effect.
The defects I noted on iphone appear to be on crystal instead of dial. I wouldnt worry about crown.
