View attachment 806361 I will have an opportunity to examine this watch in person, but for the moment all I have are the attached photos. Movement serial number checks out and all parts appear correct to me with the exception of the hands - SuperLuminova? Seller is asking too much based on the speedmaster101 price chart, but appears to be willing to negotiate. Thoughts from the experts, please?
Hi! Bracelet looks great, caseback looks okay too... but to get any useful input on the watch itself, better pictures (high resolution) of the watch face and case are essential. Do you perhaps have those? Cheers, Sander
Much better pictures for sure. Looks pretty good! My short assessment; Dial looks good. Most of the Lume on the dial is still there. Hands are indeed a tat white, but might still be okay. A checkup under UV light would be advisable. Crown could be original to the watch and the case appears nice and sharp. Not bad at all. Serial in the 28#### range? If so, it’s quite an early 145.022-69 hence it’s close to the point where a DON instead of an DNN would be expected. I am not aware of an exact cutover point though, and believe it is likely not that black and white. You mention the asking price to be higher than Speedmaster101 suggests; I suppose you’re looking at ‘good’ and factored in the bracelet? Good luck on your decision!
Should certainly have a DoN bezel. I believe the crown is incorrect as well but I'll have to check my sheet to be sure.
Are you sure about the bezel? I know that the 69s had either the DoN or the DNN, but I’m not sure when the changeover occurred.
Price is also a factor because you tend to see wide variances on 69's often because of correctness or condition.
