Since I read more and more about constellations in this forum and other sources,

I have doubts about the originality of the watch,every day I think I see a fake or dont know it.

Is this constellation market really so difficult with so many fakes.

Case looks very, very sharp - too sharp for a solid gold case, but no hallmarks can be seen on the outside and caseback may be missing the Helvetia stamp (could be out of focus).

 

Uups.. I thought the auction was closed , I dont read .. It was sold for .

Heavy price for this ? watch !

I meant its sharpness as a pro, not a con, but it's still too sharp for a mere mortal like me...

 

Here is my rose 14381. As sharp as you can wish for but at one time some idiot damaged the caseback when opening it. Pictures shows hallmarks on underside of lugs on each side - and the inside of caseback. Serial starts with 1700XXXX.
(edit) ...which makes it newer than the above mentioned watch.
(edit II) ...as gatorcpa points out (further down) the watch above has a serial starting with 18. I thought it loked like 16 I but was wrong. Which makes my watch older than the one discussed.

So its possible to get a real constellation with only hallmarks inside the case without the hallmarks at the back side of the lugs ? Picture 5-7 we can see the backside of all four lugs.

I thought it looked like 16xxxxx serial - thats why I thought mine was newer.
